Where do you see yourself 5 years from now

"The future is an uncertainty. No one knows what lies ahead."
A lot of working professionals and young adults who just started on their first job are very eager to show up to work everyday. They have different reasons for joining the workforce, be it for personal expenses, for helping the family needs, tuition fee for their younger siblings, saving for the future or medicine for their old parents. They don't mind the long hours spent on the road to get to work, the  hassles of commuting and the ever changing climate on a daily basis. This is  the real world. Most of us have to struggle day in and day out to survive in this modern society. Prices of commodities are going up but source/s of income is very scarce.

If you are among the people in this scenario, have you ever asked where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I was once like these young professionals. Financial education and awareness is not something we learned from school. How I wish it is part of all the curriculum. Yes, our teachers in primary school or even in high school often tell us the importance of saving up for the future. Even our parents would tell us to save, but sad reality, they themselves don't know how or else, you could have been in a better way of living. What they don't teach us is how to save and what are the best practices to attain financial freedom. Good financial planning is something we need to learn in real life.

In the next articles, I will share what I learned, both from research and from real experience on how to attain financial freedom, living the life that most of us dreamed of. If you have any idea or comment or reactions, please feel free to write in the comments section below. I would love to discuss it with you.
